Medical Assistant - Pediatrics

Job Overview

Support pediatric providers, advanced practice clinicians, and registered nurses in delivering patient-centered care. Prepare pediatric patients for visits, collect and document intake information and vital signs, assist with routine clinical workflow, maintain exam-room readiness, and process electronic health-record orders and documentation. Communicate instructions and approved information to patients or families under provider or nursing direction and help keep the pediatric clinic organized and responsive.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support certification that meets employer standards
• One year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology
• Electronic health record experience preferred
• Intermediate computer and accurate data-entry skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, flexibility, compassion, and cultural awareness
• Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively with a care team
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly preferred
• Availability for a full-time weekday pediatric-clinic schedule
